Calling all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed adventurers!
A fantastic new opportunity for local girls and boys, aged 4 and 5.
1st Seaton and 1st Colyton Scout Groups are working together to bring Squirrels to East Devon − starting in June and July 2025!
We're excited to share our plans with you – and we look forward to welcoming you into our Scouting family very soon ❤
Squirrels is the newest section in Scouting. It's for our youngest members (ages 4 or 5) – and it's for you too!
Each week during term-time, Squirrels meet together in a Drey to enjoy learning through games, activities and friendship. They can achieve anything they set their minds to – and have lots of fun along the way.
Our weekly, one-hour programmes of activity are a brilliant opportunity for children to take the first step on their Scouting journey. They help everyone get ready for the adventure of school too.
Sessions are packed with outdoor activities, fun, games, badges, laughter, and so much more – to help our Squirrels learn the skills they need now and for life.
We want to open Squirrels in both Colyton and Seaton. We'll do this in three steps:
June / July 2025
Register to come with your child and discover what Squirrels is all about at our FREE 'taster sessions'.
These will be run in Seaton.
September 2025
Then, from the beginning of the new school year, we'll launch a thriving new Squirrels Drey for the whole community.
This will be based in Seaton.
January 2026
Finally, we'll build upon our success and use it as a springboard to launch our second Squirrels Drey.
This will be based in Colyton.
