FREE taster session on Monday 23rd June 2025
We could tell you how great Squirrels is... But we think it's better to experience what Squirrels is all about! And it's FREE...
We're running four taster sessions for you and your child to enjoy. There's no charge for these − so come along, have fun, and get involved! There's no ongoing commitment either, so it gives you the chance to try it out.
There is a limit of 12 children for each of these sessions − so YOU MUST REGISTER beforehand. Find out how below...
Even if your child isn't yet 4 years old, we still encourage you to register now. This means we can contact you again nearer the time to invite you to join our newly launched Squirrels section.
When?
We're launching with four FREE taster sessions on:
Monday 23rd June 2025.
Monday 30th June 2025.
Monday 7th July 2025.
Monday 14th July 2025.
Each session will start at 4pm and end at 5pm. No uniform needed − just wear trainers and clothes to be active in!
Once you've registered, you'll get an automated email to confirm that we've got your details.
As we manage numbers, we'll then email you again a few days beforehand to confirm your invitation to each taster session.
Where?
All of our taster sessions will be held at Seaton Scout Hall.
Find us at the lower end of the Elizabeth Road Playing Field on Scalwell Lane, Seaton (EX12 2DJ).
We've got a car park at the front, or there's on-road parking too (please be considerate to our neighbours, and watch out for our other Squirrels arriving and leaving!)

How do I register?
Registration uses the 'Waiting List' on Online Scout Manager (or just 'OSM' for short).
This is our digital membership system. It allows you to follow your child's progress throughout their Scouting journey. You'll be able to:
Look ahead at each term's activity programme.
See all the badges that your child has been awarded.
Securely update your child's personal, contact and medical details.
Sign-up for exciting events and camps.
OSM is fully-compliant with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). All our volunteers have completed a criminal record check, and only those with additional GDPR training have access to any personal or sensitive information. You can ask us to permanently delete all the information we hold about you at any time.
