The 'taster sessions' have hopefully given you and your child an idea of what we're all about at Squirrels...  It's a great way for them (and you!) to start your Scouting journeys.

As we get to know the children individually, we can gradually build up our sessions to enjoy even bigger and better adventures, venturing out to discover more of our local area.

But for now, over the summer holidays, we need to start building up a diverse Squirrels team.

You!  Everyone has a part to play in making Squirrels a success.

Yes, we obviously need volunteer leaders in our core team do deliver some great Scouting.  But we also need a pool of adults who can help out and support on a monthly or termly rota.

We need ideas people.
We need planning people.
We need making-it-happen people.
We need crafty people.
We need adventurous people.
We need story tellers.
We need administrative people.
We need you!  Your family.  Your friends.  Your neighbours!

Even if your child isn't 4 years old yet, we still encourage you to register now.  This means we can contact you again nearer the time to invite you to join our newly launched Squirrels section.

We also want to invite volunteers from the surrounding towns and villages to come and see the great work we're all doing at Squirrels.  As the first Drey to open in East Devon, you will be key in sharing our successes with other local Scout Groups, and giving them the confidence and encouragement to launch their own Dreys too.

This also gives us more opportunities in the future to meet up with other Dreys for activity days and adventures within the East Devon District − or even further afield!
